Genevac’s high performance solvent evaporation systems were originally designed for use in pharmaceutical research and have cut their teeth working with some very agressive solvnets, such as TFA, DMSO and HCl. Genevac systems find application in many laboratories today, from DNA analysis and natural products extraction, to forensics and geochemistry.
The latest addition to our product range is the new "Third Generation" EZ-2 Series of personal evaporators. Designed specifically for solvent removal in life science research, be that concentration of samples or complete drying.
Our product range also includes the HT Series II Systems, HT-24 Workstation and the Rocket High Speed Evaporator. For a video introduction to evaporation and evaporation technology, please click here.
The third generation of the EZ-2 Series is the culmination of an extensive research and development programme that draws on the expertise of Genevacs engineers and the experiences of many scientists in the laboratory. Using the most advanced proven technology in evaporation science, the EZ-2 Series has been designed specifically for solvent removal in life science research, be that concentration of samples or complete drying. A video demonstration of the EZ-2 can be viewed by clicking here.
The original DD-4 and the new DD-4X evaporator is ideal for users who are routinely running the same methods every day. The DD-4X lacks the sophisticated programming ablility of the HT-4X and therefore some of the flexibility, but still packs in many of the same features to provide fast, safe evaporation.
The DD-4X may be used for medicinal chemistry, and it is a cost effective system for laboratories running routine assays requiring evaporation of many shallow well microtitre plates, such as ADME or screening facilities.
Genevac's original HT-4 and the new HT-4X centrifugal vacuum evaporator has been specifically designed for drug discovery laboratories, from medicinal chemistry, to purification and metabolism studies. In keeping with all Genevac products the HT-4X was developed with input from pharmaceutical research scientists.
The system incorporates enhanced capabilities and higher performance than the smaller systems and has many recent new features such at HCl resistance option and Fast Lyophilisation capability.
The HT-24 is a simple, large capacity, stand-alone, space-saving machine centred around two HT-12 Series II evaporators mounted on a small footprint trolley. It has the standard evaporator capability, remote control and data logging but gives faster processing by allowing independent operation. It is easy to use, reliable, robust and safe. To further optimise productivity, Genevac offer a wide range of sample holders which can be integrated with other laboratory automation systems.
Genevac's Mega Systems provide ultra high throughput solvent evaporation and accommodate samples in formats larger than a microtitre plate. Common examples are fraction collector racks from LC and MS systems, larger reaction blocks or proprietary sample formats. Evaporation performance, controls and options are similar to HT systems. Mega systems are truly high thoughput evaporators for production facilities.
Genevac HT Series II systems are the ideal solution for evaporation bottlenecks in high throughput and production laboratories - the systems high performance and high sample capacities make them the ideal workhorses. The unique design of the multi layer rotor ensures efficient use of valuable laboratory benchspace as well as high performance and high throughput evaporation. Evaporation times do not vary across the HT range, the same overall evaporation time is required to dry a full load of samples in an HT-4X as is required in an HT-8 or HT-12.
Peace of mind comes as standard with patented temperature control and bumping prevention built in, systems can be customised with high performance options to ensure that users achieve the fastest safe evaporation possible. To further optimise productivity, Genevac offer a wide range of sample holders which can be integrated with other laboratory automation systems.
